What is the best entry level DSLR?

My budget is around £150

I’m looking to buy my first entry level DSLR (after years of borrowing my sister’s!)

What is the best camera to buy?

What should I look for?

Is it better to get an old camera (eg from around 2007) that had good reviews at that time or get a new camera for the same price?

Thank you!
Why do you think I’m kidding? I don’t get it :S

Also that camera is £400+ lol
But I CAN afford them! Take the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 – that’s £150 brand new.

You guys haven’t been much help :/

Canon EOS Rebel T3i Review

Canon is known around the world for making incredible hardware for photographers. In the world of DSLR cameras, the Rebel line is among the highest selling, and for good reason. Rebel cameras range from entry-level models to more advanced setups used by professional photographers. In this video, LockerGnome’s Jake Ludington joins Chris Pirillo to review one of the latest releases from Canon, the EOS Rebel T3i. I’m an amateur when it comes to photography, but i want to buy a new camera which can help me take better pictures. I cant decide whether i should go for an entry level DSLR or stick to something portable like Canon powershot s95, because i already have a point and shoot camera. Could you please suggest me some good DSLR cameras for beginners? I would really like to get a good opinion before i make my decision.
I’m willing to learn how to operate it and improve my skills.

first camera: Nikon d7000 vs Nikon d90?

I’m a first time DSLR buyer, and plan to use my new camera extensively. I’ve limited my choices: the Nikon d7000, d90, and perhaps a Canon 60d. Keep in mind that I cannot afford to get an entry level camera and trade it in in a few years, so I want to buy a camera I can grow into and have for a long time. Which should I go with?

What's a good begginer flash sync device?

I am an amateur photographer student with little experience and little money. I use a canon a-1 35mm and canon t2i dslr. I am looking to start purchasing basic entry level lighting equipment for a home studio. More specifically I would like to find something cheap that can sync older flashes to my dslr. The flashes are canon speed lite 155a and another one that is older and smaller. I have been looking at sync cords but I dont think those will fit into my new camera nor do i think you can use two at a time. Is it silly to even bother with these old flashes? Or should I save my energy and money for something down the line? The flashes seem powerful enough even with a diffuser so I don’t know.
Any suggestions would be awesome

thanks
Sam

Should I buy a Nikon or a Canon?

I’m going into college with photography as my major and I’ve been on the market for a new dslr camera for a couple of months now, but I have only considered Nikon’s. Canon’s i have a hard time shopping for as the titles of the cameras all seem foreign to me besides the rebel. My mentor himself uses a Canon camera with a sigma lens. I’ve mostly handled lowered end slr cameras besides some of his older cameras. Graphic design is what I centralize in, my limit right now price wise is 0 or less. I want at least 6mp… I’m unsure what to get, What i don’t want is the entry level dslr like the nikon d3000. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time. :)
(I’m looking at used cameras not new Camera’s im quite aware that new any of the top line Nikons are well over ,000. I just dont know much about any other brands)

I’m buying a new camera and want to get a DSLR because I want to be able to have more options with my photos. I’d really like to spend less than 0, but am willing to go a little more if it makes a huge difference in quality.

Should I buy a Digital SLR now, or should I wait?

I’m running into hard times financially. My hours have been cut at work, my mom is disabled. My sister and I both pay the bills, she’s already given her two weeks notice and she’s leaving her job, but doesn’t have another lined up. So who knows how long I’ll be doing it by myself.

I was going to buy a digital SLR before I go to Florida, which is in 3 weeks, but now I’m not sure if I should. SLR’s are the camera’s that professionals use. I was going to buy an entry level one and it costs about 0. Should I save my money until things get better or should I stick with my plan to buy a DSLR before I go on my trip? If I don’t buy one, I still have a camera to take pics with, they just won’t be as beautiful. I think I might feel guilty if I spent the money now. Should I stick to my gut feeling and wait?
The one I was going to buy is called the Nikon D60, and I was also interested in the Canon xsi.
I have some savings, it’s not a lot. I think it’s enough to pay the bills for about 3 months. Getting a used one sounds like a great idea, how do I know if it’s actually a good camera (meaning, not broken or defective)?
I’m not paying for the trip to Florida, my boyfriend is. Well..he’s paying for a majority of the trip, I am just paying for half of the hotel cost. He won’t lend me the money for the DSLR because I already have a point and shoot. He thinks that there is no need for a new camera because I got the one last year.

I always knew I liked photography, I just didn’t know much about it. Now I know that my current camera is limiting. It’s holding me back from discovering my potential. If I have no talent, at least I’d have a camera that takes great photos. I think I will get the D40…eventually. Thanks a lot.
