What is the best relatively cheap entry level DSLR?

I want a nice DSLR camera, but I will just be using it for fun, so I am not willing to spend extra money on it for photo quality. Which DSLR (Body and Lens price together) would be the best for the cost? Also, I like a few effects or custom things you can change. My maximum price would be about 550. Maximum!

What are the best DSLR cameras for under 1000 USD?

I am looking for an entry level Digital DSLR camera for under 1000 USD.

Buying first DSLR camera?

I have been researching DSLR’s lately, and came up with these three options (in my budget):
-Nikon D3000 (0)
-Nikon D5000 (0)
-Nikon D3100 (0)

This would be my first DSLR camera, so I just need some advice on both cameras and lenses. My sister’s friend from college actually gave me some advice. She has a D90 and will be taking my senior pics. She told me that a Nikon D3100 would be the best option. However, this is the most expensive camera I would be willing to buy at this point.

I have been told the D3100 has a lot of nice features, and although it’s more expensive, it would be a great camera for me to grow into as my knowledge of photography and cameras grows as well. The D3000, on the other hand, has been said to be one of the best entry-level "for-beginners" DSLR camera.

So, I am wondering, should I invest in the more expensive camera, or just go with the cheap one? Also, which lens(es) should I be considering. I think at this point, if I were to buy the expensive camera, I would go for a lens under or around 0. If I were to buy the cheaper camera, I could probably spend up to twice that amount on a lens.

So…which camera would be best for me? And which lenses should I pair with it? Thanks in advance!

Canon Rebel T2i, T3i, or Canon 60D?

I want to save up for a new DSLR camera but I’m not sure which one to get. I know that it’s not the camera that takes the picture and that it’s up to me to expose the shot correctly to get the best photo, but I want to know which camera is easiest to operate or quickest to operate. I feel like the T2i or T3i would be easier because they’re entry-level, but the 60D would be quicker because it has the wheel on the back to change the aperture quicker. I also heard that the Rebels tend to get front heavy with bigger lenses, how big would a lens have to be for it to feel front heavy? I also want to save up for a lens that I believe goes up to 200mm, would that be too much for the Rebels to handle without getting front heavy? Because I don’t want to lug around a battery grip with a T2i/T3i just so some lenses won’t make it front heavy, I’d rather just get the 60D at that point.
Basically, out of these 3 cameras, which one do you think would be best to learn off of and use for the next 3-4 years? Thanks.

Should I get a Canon 1000d or 1100d?

I am looking to get my first dslr camera, and after getting lots of advice from different people and scouring the net for a good entry level camera I think the canon 1000d and 1100d are the best ones for the budget I have, although the 450d sounds like it’s good too…

Is it worth paying extra to get the 1100d? I would be nice to be able to take videos, but I’m not that bothered really, I’m more interested in photos. Also eventually I would like to be able to buy a decent telephoto lens with stabilization (or now if I can afford it!) so any advice or reviews about them would be great – I’m interested in wildlife photography. If I get the 1000d which is cheaper I would possibly be able to afford a telephoto lens right now too, but would this not be worth it in the long run?

Any reviews, advice, recommendations etc would be really really great as I’m new to all of this.

Final question, you get a 18-55mm lens kit with most canons for a little bit extra, I’m guessing it would be worth me getting this as I have nothing at the moment?
