I’m a bit confuse with the word "beginner" or "entry level" people used to say about DSLR…
Is it beginner in photography, or beginner in using a DSLR?
I always wonder whether i’m still a beginner or not…
i do not own a DSLR…
but im not a beginner in photography….
at least i know the basics…
most of the picture i love to take using manual mode with a point and shoot camera…
but there is too much constrains and i’ve been pushing the boundaries with my point and shoot..
I’m about to get my first DSRL…
kinda fell in loved with 60d…but its a bit too costly…
reviews says it’s not advisable for beginner to use…
So, am i really a beginner and choose the 60d or go for the 600d which is a entry level DSLR but does not win my heart much?

Announced in August 2010, it’s the successor the best-selling D3000 and makes several key upgrades to that model. Most notably the new D3100 now features Live View and video recording facilities The D3000 sold well, despite its rather aged 10 megapixel sensor and lack of both live view and video..Live View and movies are the two major new features on the D3100, which were sorely missing on the earlier D3000. The D3100 is built around a 14.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, bringing not only live view but also Full HD video capture to Nikon’s entry-level model for the first time. In fact, this made it the first Nikon DSLR to offer 1920×1080 movie recording. It can only record clips up to about ten minutes long (due to a 4Gb maximum file size limitation shared by all DSLRs), but this still counts as an impressive feature addition at this level. The body gets a slight refresh from a basic design that essentially dates back four years to the D40, gaining an extra button to the left of the screen, a drive mode switch at the base of the mode dial, a sprung lever to engage live view and a direct record movie button. Revisions have also been made to the feature-teaching, hand-holding ‘Guide Mode’, and an additional autofocus mode that’s designed to allow better focusing in live view and autofocus during video shooting. NIKON 3100 – DIGITAL SLR CAMERA REVIEW With Nikon’s introduction of the Nikon D3100 DSLR, they have released its latest entry-level offering and its first DSLR that can record full 1080p HD videos. Successor to the popular D3000, the Nikon D3100 is built around a 14.2 CMOS sensor and a 3 inch LCD. The D3100 is Nikon’s lightest as well as probably smallest DSLR to date, while not feeling dainty. And believe me, the D3100 is a great camera made all the better with this new introduction. The D3100 is small and lightweight (17 oz) but does not feel that way.
