I guess this is kind of silly to be posting on Yahoo Answers, but I have the option to get one of these things for Christmas and I cannot decide for the life of me:

A Wacom Intuos4 Medium tablet (basically, this is a thing you plug into your computer and draw on, then what you draw shows up on the computer screen.)

OR

An entry level Canon DSLR camera (…like a really nice camera, not just your average point and shoot, you can get different lenses for it and stuff)

I am a graphic design student, and in the future want to expand on both my digital illustration and photography skills.
I already have a Wacom tablet that is over 8 years old, and a decent little point and shoot camera, a year or two old. But obviously both of the things I’m looking at are a big leap from both of the things I have.

So uh… tips? Suggestions? Anything? :]

Camera dilemma: Canon 450d + Nikon d60?

i have been photographing a lot but have been using a compact all the while, i’m new to dslr but have tried using a borrowed slr before, so u can say i’m a beginner to a dslr, but for benefits in the long run should i go for an entry level camera or straight to the mid range? i’m expected to graduate (architecture field) next year so i’m not yet working, thus which is economical + is a better brand overall?
i heard the most important are the lenses, so one should not be spending a lot on the body, as well as that canon is the best option for indoors while nikon is best for outdoors photographing, so pls help me to decide which is the best investment for me on a camera?
many thanx in advance!

Review On The Canon EOS Rebel XS SLR Camera

The rest of the review can be found here- bradwelltv.com Canon Telephoto Zoom Lenses- pricecutsavings.com Memory Stick- pricecutsavings.com The Canon Rebel XS is one of the most popular entry level SLR cameras on the market. This high quality camera is perfect for anyone who’s wanting to get into photography, but it’s also simple enough for beginners. It’s easy to use and change settings, but it also produces superior images to it’s competition.

I am looking for a entry level DSLR camera that would take good shots. I coach hockey and football and would like to get action shots of the kids. I would prefer to spend around 700 for the camera, also i notice most come with the standard 55mm lens. What would be a better lens to bring me closer to the action? Thank you
